Everybody has an astral body. This is an image of one’s spiritual progress or perhaps a mirror image of ourselves(ego image). This is not an image of matter but the astral form. Have you seen the movie the matrix, this is the residue self. This is more of an image and nothing else not a soul, though this could be the source of the concept of personal soul. When we sleep this astral body is there but hidden behind a veil, I refer to as the veil of Isis (gnostic) (Hindu maya). For the Kundalini activated, this veil lifts during early stage dreaming. So if we have done mantras for a great many years, this astral body changes , becomes purified from the karmic dust. What form does this body take? It takes on a Buddha form. Why ? It does this because the Buddha body is an ancient celestial form. This form is hidden by our ego thoughts which are dust. Their have been Buddhas in the astral realm long before the Buddha himself taught. This means Buddhism is a more ancient path as suggested by the Buddha himself. The Buddha himself taught their were Buddhas before him and many after. The enlightened don’t lie about the truth. In Mahayana Buddhism we are taught the Buddha was a transcendental being , not just a man. Certainly Tibetan Buddhism teaches we can all reveal a Buddha body, a physical, astral and truth body (called Dharmakaya). I agree with this form of Buddhism because I have seen this astral Buddha body myself during activation, as a very real astral form with crystal clear clarity.
